I’ve dedicated my career to helping people improve their vision through surgical innovation and personalised care. Since the early days of laser eye surgery in Melbourne, I’ve focused on making safe, evidence-based treatments available to those who need them.
I have performed over 30,000 laser eye procedures and have led advancements in both refractive and cataract surgery since 1991. I frequently teach and present internationally on surgical techniques and emerging technologies.
I completed my medical degree at Monash University, followed by medical and surgical residency across Melbourne hospitals. I completed my specialist ophthalmology training at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
I am the Founder and Director of Vista Eyes Laser Eye Clinic. I hold Fellowships with both the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) and previously with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
I served over 30 years in the Australian Defence Force Reserves, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. I also advised the ADF on refractive surgery policies and visual standards.
